Accidents

209 Diamond Pointe Drive: On July 5, Rex Smith told police his 2007 Chevrolet Impala had been struck by another vehicle the night before, causing heavy front-end damage. Officers noted a white paint transference to the car.

Maumelle Boulevard and Audubon Drive: Tyuanna Williams, 40, of North Little Rock told police she was southbound on Maumelle Boulevard on July 4 in her 1998 Infiniti I30 when she collided with a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by William Cureton, 85, of North Little Rock. Cureton was eastbound on Audubon Drive and told police another vehicle had stopped so he thought he could go and didn’t see the vehicle in the other lane. Patrick Jennings, a passenger in Williams’ vehicle, complained of injuries but when Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services arrived, the attendants called police because he was “unruly.” Jennings was arrested on an outstanding warrant from North Little Rock.

1900 Club Manor Drive: Dianna Parker of Maumelle said she was northbound in a parking lot in her 2000 Ford Crown Victoria on July 2 when a 2000 Toyota Solara driven by Matthew Owen of North Little Rock backed into her.

1901 Club Manor Drive: On July 3, Paul Lepkowski of Maumelle said had he left his 2004 Jaguar parked overnight in a parking lot at Cheers and when he returned at 6 p.m. he found damage to the back.

22 Southshore Drive: Sharon Jenson, 56, of Maumelle said she was backing a 2002 Mack garbage truck on July 1 when she hit an unoccupied and parked Ford Escape owned by Gary Holt.

Osage and Manitou drives: On June 30, Andrew Park, 16, of Maumelle told police he was turning left onto Osage Drive from Manitou when he made a wide turn and hit a street sign. The sign was severed from its base when the 2005 Dodge pickup hit it.

Arrests

100 Millwood Circle: On July 1, Jessica Pearl Dixon, 28, of North Little Rock was arrested on a failure-to-pay-fines warrant when she turned herself in. Bail was set at $1,300.

100 Millwood Circle: On July 1, Matthew Forrest McCann, 29, of Little Rock was arrested on a contempt-of-court warrant when he turned himself in. Bail was set at $1,895.

100 Millwood Circle: Joseph Aaron Small, 25, of Greenbrier was arrested on a failure-to-appear warrant when he turned himself in. Bail was set at $469.

Odom Boulevard and Oak Forest Drive: On July 1, officers stopped a motorcycle traveling 55 mph in a 35 mph zone and arrested Brian A. Ogden, 27, of Maumelle on an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant from Bryant and one from England. He was charged with possession of marijuana and speeding.

100 Millwood Circle: Cortney Rose Kaplon, 19, of North Little Rock was arrested on a failure-to-pay-fines warrant when she turned herself in. Bail was set at $300.

Edgewood Drive: On July 4, Darnell Winston, 21, of Maumelle was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations and on outstanding warrants from Maumelle, North Little Rock and Pulaski County. He was transferred to the sheriff’s office.

Odom Boulevard and Club Manor Drive: On July 4, Pamela Cate Wood, 44, of Maumelle was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a Breathalyzer test, improper left turn and careless and prohibited driving. Police said they received a call about a reckless driver and saw the red Ford Explorer cross the center line several times.

Maumelle Boulevard: On July 4, Patrick Jennings, 34, of North Little Rock was arrested after a vehicle in which he was a passenger was involved in an accident. Bail was set at $485 on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines from North Little Rock.

100 Millwood Circle: On July 7, Chad Allen Pinkston, 29, of Benton was arrested after he turned himself in on two warrants, one for failure to appear and one for failure to pay fines. Bail was set at $1,070.

100 Millwood Circle: On July 7, Shumecio Ford, 31, of Maumelle was arrested when he turned himself in on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $460.

Incidents

Rolling Oaks Soccer Complex: On July 2, the Maumelle Parks and Recreation Department reported that someone had vandalized the men’s restroom. Officers noted several sexually explicit phrases painted on both sides of the front door, divider and bathroom stall door.

40 block of Meadow Ridge Loop: A 41-year-old Maumelle woman told police someone vandalized her 2002 Mercedes on July 6. Police noted that all four rims had been painted red, the sunroof had been shattered and the windshield had been struck several times.

Thefts

50 block of High Trail: On July 8, a 56-year-old Maumelle man told police that someone had stolen three containers from his garage that contained motor fuel. He said the thief also apparently returned a box the resident had placed by the curb back inside the garage. Police speculated that the perpetrator placed the box inside because someone had seen him.

186 Majestic Circle: On July 8, Wright Construction Co. called police to report a theft from a home construction site. Two large extension cords, a double fan blower, a receptacle box and copper wire worth $2,500 was stolen.

100 block of Scenic Valley Loop: On July 8, a 48-year-old Maumelle woman told police her son’s 21-year-old girlfriend cashed two of the woman’s checks — for $750 and $1,500 — without permission. The victim told police her son, and the girlfriend left for California.

100 block of Miramar Drive: A 46-year-old Maumelle woman told police her $5,500 diamond ring was found missing on July 8.
