Accidents
Maumelle and Odom boulevards: On Aug. 19, Maurice White Jr., 35, of Sherwood told police he was driving on Maumelle Boulevard in his 1992 Chevrolet Lumina when he failed to notice a vehicle stopping in front of him. Laverne Bowles, 75, of Maumelle was driving a 1998 Dodge Intrepid when she was struck from behind.
Club Manor and Audubon drives: Candy Phillips, 29, of Conway said she was northbound on Audubon Drive on Aug. 19 in her 2000 Ford Focus when she saw a car skidding down Club Manor Drive and hit her vehicle. Tonia Carrico, 27, of Maumelle said she was driving her 2000 Dodge pickup when she skidded on wet pavement and couldn’t stop.
Club Manor and Audubon drives: On Aug. 20, Mark Friedman, 36, of Maumelle said he was northbound on Club Manor Drive in his 2002 Honda Accord when a vehicle in the other lane sideswiped him. Margaret France, 64, of Sherwood, said she was driving a 2006 Saturn Vue and talking on her cell phone when her car drifted into the other lane.
Murphy Drive: Rachel Dawn Ellison of Conway said she was driving on Murphy Drive on Aug. 20 when a group of deer ran into the roadway. She said she avoided the first deer, but the second one hit her vehicle.
Club Manor and Audubon drives: On Aug. 20, Sharon Tucker, 58, of Maumelle said she was driving on Club Manor Drive in her 2007 Toyota sport utility vehicle when she hit a 1998 Mercedes ML3 driven by Alicia Sexton, 31, of Maumelle. Sexton said Tucker ran a stop sign and hit her, and police ticketed Tucker for running a stop sign.
Maumelle Boulevard and Riverland Drive: Lesli Karbowski, 41, of Benton told police she was driving her 2002 Dodge Caravan on Maumelle Boulevard on Aug. 21 when she collided with a 2005 Honda Accord driven by Ann Bedinghaus, 46, of Maumelle. Bedinghaus said the other car came into her lane and struck her.
Country Club Parkway: On Aug. 23, Nicolas Zapata, 16, of North Little Rock said he was taking his girlfriend home in his 2008 Pontiac sedan on Country Club Parkway when he missed a turn at Diamond Park Drive, turned around and was confused when he saw a one-way sign and turned sharply, hitting a curb and going off the road.
Arrests
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 19, Gregory E. Seawood, 42, of Maumelle was arrested when he turned himself in on a failure-to-pay fines warrant. Bail was set at $6,190.
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 19, Terrez Batch, 32, of Maumelle was arrested when he turned himself in on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $2,220.
100 Commerce Drive: On Aug. 19, Robert Lee Herr, 45, of Maumelle was arrested on a public-intoxication charge at the Movie Gallery. Bail was set at $200.
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 19, Samantha Weidi, 20, of Maumelle was arrested when she turned herself in on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $510.
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 19, Brandon Eric Boswell, 24, of Fayetteville was arrested when he turned himself in on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $460.
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 19, Christopher Coney, 20, of Beebe was arrested on a contempt-of-court charge when he turned himself in.
Bringler Drive and Maumelle Boulevard: On Aug. 23, Rico Edmonson, 21, of England was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license. Bail was set at $554.
Club Manor Drive: On Aug. 24, Joshua Glenn Saavedra, 20, of Jacksonville was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop. Bail was set at $5,038.
100 Commercial Park Court: On Aug. 24, Chrystina Amora Webb, 21, of North Little Rock was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $355.
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 24, Anthony Benard Boykins, 30, of Maumelle was arrested on failure-to-pay-fines warrant when he turned himself in. Bail was set at $630.
Weatherwood Drive: On Aug. 24, Tamitha Mae Hightower, 27, of Maumelle was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and an instrument of crime and Lejustes Deon Davidson was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and an instrument of crime during a traffic stop.
Maumelle Boulevard and Arnold Palmer Drive: On Aug. 24, Brandon Johnson, 18, of Maumelle was arrested on a contempt-of-court warrant when a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped on a traffic offense. Bail was set at $255.
Murphy Drive: On Aug. 25, Derrick C. Braggs, 40, of Maumelle was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
Incidents
2 Degray Cove: On Aug. 20, the homeowner told police he found his mailbox on the ground. He said he didn’t hear any strange noises the night before. Later that day, the homeowner called police to report that his neighbor’s 17-year-old son was driving a vehicle with damage consistent with backing into the mailbox.
Thefts
100 Millwood Circle: On Aug. 21, a 44-year-old Maumelle woman told police that checks she didn’t sign had been written on her bank account. She said she wasn’t missing any checks.
