Accidents

101 Commerce St.: On Sept. 25, Ralph Kearney of Maumelle said he had filled his 2004 Ford Explorer with gas and was writing his mileage down as he left and drove into a light post. Officers estimated the damage to his Ford at $9,000.

Club Manor Drive and Odom Boulevard: William G. Holt, 53, of Maumelle, an attorney with Gary Eubanks and Associates, told police that he was driving his company 2001 Jaguar XK westbound on Odom Boulevard on Sept. 27 when, as he went through the intersection at Club Manor Drive, his Jaguar was struck by a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Joshua Wheeler, 18, of Maumelle. Neither driver reported an injury. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Ford and $3,000 to the Jaguar.

Maumelle Boulevard and Montpellier Drive: On Sept. 29, Miguel Diaz, 42, of Maumelle told police that he was crossing Maumelle Boulevard in his 2006 Infiniti IFX when he struck a 2007 Honda sedan driven by Carletta Edmondson, 58, of North Little Rock. A 6-year-old passenger in the Honda was injured and treated at the scene by Metropolitan Emergency Medical Service.

20605 Arkansas 365: Linda Suttle of Overland Park, Kan., said she was driving through the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot in her 2008 Ford Fusion on Sept. 29 when Earl Cole of Maumelle, driving a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, while backing out of a parking space, backed into her Ford.

Arrests

100 Millwood Circle: On Sept. 23, Carla Renee Bankston, 26, of Little Rock, was arrested on a warrant from Lonoke County for fraud and insufficient funds. She was stopped for a traffic violation. Bail was set at $4,000 and Lonoke County officers came to pick her up.

100 Millwood Circle: James Pettus, III, was arrested on Sept. 27 when he turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Bail was set at $825.

100 Millwood Circle: On Sept. 23, Holly Danyale Howard, 29, of Cabot was arrested when she turned herself in on warrants for contempt of court, failure to pay fines and failure appear in court. Bail was set at $1,185.

760 Edgewood Drive: On Sept. 23, Wanda Eunice Perkins, 48, of Center Ridge was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Officers were called to Arkansas 365 about a vehicle that almost hit another. Officers said they found the described vehicle with a light out and stopped it. They said the driver had “slurred speech and bloodshot, watery eyes.” After failing field sobriety tests, she was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she registered 0.19 percent on a blood alcohol content test. Bail was set at $1,105.

100 Millwood Circle: On Sept. 24, Darrell Lee Wilson, 44, of Dewitt was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines when he turned himself in. Bail was set at $550.

9700 Maumelle Blvd,: Yvonne C. Dotter, 49, of Maumelle was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with DWI, second offense. Officers said they saw a vehicle traveling north at 40 mph on Maumelle Boulevard smoking badly with both left tires blown out. The vehicle initially would not stop for officers and turned onto Odom Boulevard before pulling into the new Kroger grocery parking lot. Officers reported that the driver was extremely disoriented and had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

100 Millwood Circle: On Sept. 25, Chirita Carol Wright, 37, of Maumelle was arrested when she turned herself in on a contempt of court warrant. Bail was set at $255.

Incidents

100 Edgewood Drive: On Sept. 27, a 26-year-old Maumelle woman told police that a man had been harassing her by calling her on her cell phone and showing up at her apartment in the Arbor Oaks complex. She said he left her a message telling her, “One of my girls will kick your a--.” The next morning she reported finding numerous scratches on her vehicle. She told police that several people witnessed the man scratching her vehicle.

Millwood Drive and Edgewood Drive: On Sept. 29, a 54-year-old North Little Rock woman told police that she was traveling southbound when an object struck her windshield. Officer Chris Podawiltz said he saw several juveniles standing around the area of the incident. A 12-year-old told police that he had been playing with a railroad spike when it went backwards, damaging the windshield. The mother of the juvenile told police that she would contact the victim to make restitution.
